Broward Lawyers Care was formed in 1983 as a joint effort of the Broward County Bar Association and Legal Aid.  We enable busy attorneys to make a difference in their community through pro bono work.  BLC manages the administrative issues so that the attorney’s time is spent directly on the clients’ legal needs. Legal Services welcomes pro bono assistance from law firms, individual attorneys, law students, and other volunteers, and provides the necessary training and mentoring to support those volunteers. Demystifying Bankruptcy Pro Bono:  Designed specifically for lawyers who are interested in practicing before the Bankruptcy Court.  For our existing practitioners, the Demystifying CLE will be useful in brushing up on the fundamentals.  The CLE also includes tips and guidance for taking consumer bankruptcy cases for qualified individuals on a pro bono basis.    [CLE Credits Approved for 4.5 General plus .5 Ethics]
