CM/ECF UPDATE

CM/ECF Upgrade to Version 3.2

In the Fall 2008, we will upgrade to CM/ECF version 3.2. Release 3.2 is a significant release that contains software enhancements or fixes addressing over 150 national modification requests. Enhancements will include cascading menus, a new menu/event search feature, a new Judgement Index Report, ability to download/print multiple documents with a single click, creating a Record on Appeal, and functionality to implement the Judicial Conference policies on electronic availability and redaction of transcripts of court proceedings. A separate document entitled "CM/ECF Release 3.2 Notes for PACER Users" has been posted to the PACER Service Center web page. This document provides the public with a description of changes they may notice when the court goes live with Release 3.2. Please be sure to periodically visit our web page for updated information on Release 3.2.

CM/ECF Training

Pursuant to Local Rule 5005-4, an attorney appearing in a case in this district must complete court approved CM/ECF training to become a registered user and begin efiling documents in this court. Our "CM/ECF for Attorneys" training course is a 4-hour hands-on formal training session, which focuses on all aspects of bankruptcy and adversary case filing. This course is offered to all attorneys authorized to practice in this district and has been approved for 5 CLE credits by The Florida Bar, which can be applied to the CLE credit hour requirements set forth in Local Rule 2090-1(A)(3). Attorneys and/or Limited Filers who certify that they are already registered users of CM/ECF in another bankruptcy court are not required to attend classroom training if proficiency on the system is demonstrated through the completion of a “Proof of Proficiency” exercise.To register for our “CM/ECF for Attorneys” training course, or if you are currently filing in another bankruptcy court and wish to gain access to the "LIVE" system by completion of a proficiency exercise, please notify the court's training team at: CMECF_support@flsb.uscourts.gov or contact Pam Shuler, CM/ECF Training Specialist, at (305) 714-1829.
